Polysulfide Sealents We offer a wide range of Polysulfide Sealents Description SAVE- IT 401 is a two part polysulfide sealant available in gun grade consistencies. SAVE- IT 401 effectively seals all joints subject to structural movements as well as non-moving joints against ingress of water and dust. Primary Uses

For sealing curtain wall panels, window glazings, flashings etc.

For sealing expansion and contraction joints in all types of buildings.

For sealing control joints in floors and pavements.

For sealing all joint applications where a short curing period is required.
Properties Colour : White and Black when mixed turns to Grey Pot Life : One Hour at 30ºC Tack Free Time : 8 Hours at 30ºC Cure Time : 24 Hours at 30ºC Surface Preparation All joints must be absolutely clean, all curing compounds, old caulks, grease, waterproofing compounds, etc. must be removed. For non-porous surfaces such as glass, metal, etc., cleaning with M.E.K or toluene is recommended. EPE foam is recommended as a joint filler and backup material. Mixing All material should be in the proper temperature range of 16-32ºC. Mix part A and part B (resin and hardener) for 3 minutes using a drill or manual mixer. For ease of mixing add part B to part A. Application Apply by caulking gun, hand or pour from the container. Press firmly into joint using a trowel or putty knife to insure good contact (Concrete surfaces have to be primed with polysulfide primer).
