BITUMEN BASED FLEXIBLE WATERPROOF COATING Description
SAVE- IT 206 is a ready to use highly flexible, bitumen based, protective and waterproof coating. It is a high performance coating that dries to a tough, impermeable waterproof membrane.
Primary Use

Easy and direct (cold applied) application, no pre heating required.

Provides an impervious waterproofing membrane that protects concrete structure and brick foundations against chloride and sulphate ions present in soils and water.

Corrosion resistant and vapour barrier.
Advantages

Application Instructions
Surface Preparations
The application surface must be clean and free from dust grease and loose particles. Surface may be damp but not saturated.
Application
Apply one coat of SAVE- IT 201, universal deep impregnating primer, on well-prepared surface. SAVE- IT 206 should be stirred well before use. It is recommended that aminimum of 2 coats should be applied depending upon the degree of protection required after the primer coat. SAVE- IT 206 can be applied by brush, roller or sprayer. Successive coats of SAVE- IT 206 should be applied after a minimum of 3-4 hours of the previous applied coat. SAVE- IT 206 could be diluted up to 15-25 % for base and top coats to make the material workable and get the desired coverage.
Limitations
SAVE- IT 206 is not resistant to rain until the film has dried. This may take less than 45 minutes in hot dry climates and up to 12 hours in temperate humid conditions. Generally the product should not be applied in rain or if rain is forecast. Similarly, SAVE- IT 206 will freeze in its wet state so should not be applied to frozen substrates or when the temperature is below 5°C or likely to fall during application.
Coverage
CONCRETE SURFACE : 3-4 Sq Mtr/kg/coat (Depending on the porosity of the surface)
Cleaning
Tools and equipments can be cleaned with pure water.
Packaging
SAVE- IT 206 is available in 50 kg drum.
Storage
Store under cover, out of direct sunlight and protect from extremes of temperature. Failure to comply with the recommended storage conditions may result in premature deterioration of the product or packaging..
